Sorry for not posting for a while... not much to add at the moment. We do, however, have another picture to add. This picture shows Courtney at 20 weeks, 6 days. Crazy!!!

Ultrasound SOON!!!

Hey All,

So we went to the doctor's today hoping to persuade him to do an ultrasound today... no luck... BUT we do get to have one in three weeks!

We went in and waited in the stinking room for almost two hours because the doctor got called away to deliver another baby. Courtney gained only one pound over the past month (which is not great...) and only three pounds overall. Dr. Ellis did say though that her health is great and that the baby is growing so there doesn't seem to be much to worry about even if Court doesn't gain much weight.

He said that for how far along she is the uterus should be at the belly button. He felt the belly button and then felt higher, and higher, and higher and a look of surprise went across his face. She is measuring about three inches above the belly button. He immediately said that we would do an ultrasound next time. He said that she is measuring very big for her dates and so he wouldn't be too surprised at all if the dates were off. Meaning it is looking more and more like the baby is going to be an August baby.

Anyway, things are good and we'll hopefully know the gender in three weeks!

Ok all, the gauntlet has been thrown down. Who is going to be the one that guesses our baby's stats? Let the Kicking Commence!!!

Hello one and all and welcome to the show!

It would seem that we have a future soccer player about us. Courtney has been saying for about a week or so that she could feel little flutterings that she thought were kicks. Well, any doubt has been erased as we can now see the kicking take place. It looks like a tiny little energy wave that travels over a very small area. (If you would like a demonstration of what an energy wave looks like all you need to do is pull up your shirt and slap your belly on one side and watch the wave as your belly wobbles... some will be more adept at this than others).

I digress...

I went to Billings on Thursday with my friends and Courtney kept calling to tell me that her belly was getting beaten up on the inside by the baby. When I got home it had calmed down some but at times I could still see the kick and when I had my hand in the right place I could feel it.

Courtney's tummy is also getting very big and very hard!! It is beginning to look like she swallowed a watermelon... though at this time is looks more like a cantelope. Here is the first picture we took as well as the one we took on Tuesday of this week. Check out the difference!! She is currently at the beginning of 19 weeks!
