Just for fun... both daughters seem to have an affinity for Mom's chin.

More Comings and Goings and Disney on Ice!

The last post for now and I'll be all caught up on the Carter news. Some other things that have been going on in the Carter Family... Eva is now sitting up on her own! She can't go from laying to sitting but can hold herself up once placed in a seated position. I'll tell the story as we go through the pictures...

Eva loves to GRAB EVERYTHING! She particularly likes to take the things she grabs and put them right into her mouth. She was obsessed with cereal boxes for some time.

Maddie loves Saturday morning doughnuts!

Eva= Happy Girl!

The weekend after we went to Disneyland we got to go to Disney on Ice! It was basically all of the "classic" Disney movies told in ballet/ice skating fashion. It was very cool and Maddie loved it but it got a little long for her. We should have left at the intermission and called it good because Maddie and Eva got squirmy during the second half.

Chuck E. Cheese's with Ma!

Notice the drop of drool at the bottom of the chin... so typical for Eva.

Check out the eye lashes!

DISNEYLAND!!!

Courtney had a complete weekend off and I took Friday off so that we could take a semi-spontaneous trip to Disneyland! We stayed at the Anaheim Hilton for two nights and went to Disneyland and California Adventure as well as downtown Disney! Aside from being ridiculously hot and hard on the feet, we had a blast! As you can imagine, Maddie loved it! Eva... she didn't really care! Haha. Maddie's favorite part? MEETING THE DISNEY PRINCESSES!

The evening we went down we ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Maddie loved the periodic thunderstorms inside the restaurant as well as all of the creatures all of the walls.

She climbed to the top of the tree house all by herself!

She almost fell down three times crossing this bridge

Meeting the Princesses! Stood in line for almost two hours for this.

Meeting Mickey!

The day after the park we had brunch with some of Courtney's friends that live in Anaheim.

Comings and Goings... plus the Park and the Fair!

Ahh the comings and goings at the Carter House. Having two little stinkers around always makes for interesting times. Every morning you can count on Maddie saying one of three things... "I have poop in my diaper, you need to change me" or "I need bites and sips" or "I need eggs and cheese and orange juice". We have our book reading, our outdoor play, our Dora, Diego, and Kai Lan watching, our meals and all the other fun. We have poop, boogers, pee, an occasional spit up/throw up (depending on the girl)... lately there has been quite a bit of coughing at the Carter house as well (Maddie, Courtney and I have each had bouts of coughing and Eva chimes in with her fake coughs in order to fit in).

Along with the normal comings and goings we also have the occasional (actually quite often) fun time. We had the Tulare County Fair in town and Maddie had tons of fun! But even more important we have a NEW PARK in town and we LOVE IT! When in doubt, you will find us there. Maddie always has a blast and makes new friends every time we go! Enjoy the pics!

Mama home from work... reading to the little ones.

The park!

They have fountains that you can run through at the park, though she is scared of the water she enjoys running at and then away from the water.

They also have a man made HUGE pond!

Eva loves her Bumbo!

Adventure Park
(our version of Boomers for those that know what that is)

We tucker Eva out... but this was one of the last times in the swing as she is too big!
